Uluwatu School – A New Era of International Education in Bali

Looking for a Bali school that nurtures curiosity, connection, and contribution—all in an ocean-view campus on the Bukit Peninsula? Enrol Now!

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. For families in Bali, particularly those in Uluwatu and the Bukit Peninsula, a new and thoughtfully designed educational option is opening its doors in August 2025—Uluwatu School.

A New International School Rooted in Community and Place

Uluwatu School is an international school designed for both Indonesian and international learners. Inquiry-led and curiosity-driven, the school combines academic engagement with deep connections to place, people, and the ocean. The school offers a progressive and evolving curriculum tailored to the needs of modern learners growing up in Bali’s vibrant global-local environment.

Founded by a passionate group of educators and parents already active in the Uluwatu community, the school was born from a shared vision: to create a learning environment where children thrive, not only academically but emotionally, socially, and ethically.

Launch Timeline

Uluwatu School will launch with classes from Grade 1 to Grade 7 in August 2025. A full Middle School will open in 2026, with plans to build up to High School in the years to come. The school is actively enrolling founding students and welcoming families who are seeking more than just academics, those looking for a school that fosters a sense of purpose, belonging, and joyful discovery.

Spectacular Ocean-Side Location

Nestled into the hillside in Pecatu, Uluwatu School offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and is just 15 minutes from some of Bali’s most iconic surf breaks, snorkeling spots, and beaches. This location is key to the school’s place-based learning philosophy, an approach that takes full advantage of the natural environment, rich local culture, and the island’s spirit of exploration.

A Curriculum That Sparks Curiosity and Contribution

The Uluwatu School curriculum is centered on the school’s mission: “To love learning, be curious, make meaningful connections and contribute to the world we live in.” It integrates international best practices, strong academic foundations, and Social Emotional Ethical Learning (SEEL). Students are encouraged to explore their passions, express who they are, and develop the skills needed to engage compassionately and ethically in a global community.

Ocean Literacy & Environmental Leadership

Given its location, the school is uniquely positioned to lead in ocean conservation and water research. Uluwatu School aims to contribute to ocean literacy in Indonesia and globally, instilling a sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship in its learners from a young age.

Campus and Facilities

The thoughtfully designed campus is set into the hillside with an emphasis on sustainability, natural integration, and open, flexible learning spaces. Future development phases will add more specialized facilities as the school grows, always aligned with the core values of connection, curiosity, collaboration, and contribution.

Passionate Educator Team

Uluwatu School brings together experienced educators who are committed to the school’s mission and values. These educators are not only skilled in delivering academic content but also in nurturing the whole child, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

Enrolment Information

Uluwatu School is currently accepting applications for its founding cohort for August 2025 entry (Grades 1–7). Parents and guardians are encouraged to connect early to be part of the school’s exciting founding journey.
