Families moving to Bali for a year or more
It is great to connect with other families like us who are doing lots of planning for their move to Bali!
We love getting emails from families around the world who have discovered our blog and appreciate all the effort that we have put in to our posts. It is so rewarding to here from you and your awesome feedback – so thanks everyone!
Lots of families dream it about moving to Bali but how many people actually do it?
It may seem like a brave move but it can be more possible than you think and planning it right saves you so much time and money. It may not be a year away but perhaps 3 months? A term for the kids? 6 months?
We have loved helping families make their move to Bali or even just help them plan if and when Bali is a good option at all. By having a phone chat, people really appreciate listening to us explain the reality of what life is like and what realistically to expect when you make the move for all the family.
When we moved to Bali we realised how difficult it was to gain a good understanding on how things worked as an expat and there was so much unspoken information that was not easy to obtain. We thought we were prepared by our ‘extensive’ research and speaking to some expats but it wasn’t the case. It takes a lot of time and patience and an understanding that you are living in a very different culture to what you are used to.
Over the last few years we have learnt a great deal about expat life in Bali from finding the best schools, learning the local language and practical issues like finding a good doctor and opening a bank account.
Bali attracts couples and families who are looking for a cheaper lifestyle and lower living costs. Bali can be that option, for example, allowing mums to build up a dream business while getting support through child minding, cleaning and cooking. Bali can change up your everyday routine and teach you about all sorts of things in life that you never knew. It can be a place of self reflection and meditation. There are so many considerations when making the move to Bali and what your motivating factors are.
So if you are thinking of moving or are definitely moving to Bali please get in touch with us by email. We have a great consultation service that involves in-depth phone chats and email checklists and guides.
